I’ve had this site sitting around for a while now and, spurred on by an very interesting conversation with MediaPost editor, David Berkowitz, over an article he recently wrote, decided to go ahead and finally launch it.
Although I work for a major B2B publishing company, Penton Media, I have always been an interactive media nut both as a media professional and as a consumer. I’m constantly on the web, subscribe to dozens of email newsletters, can’t live without ESPN’s mobile edition on my BlackBerry, love to skip ads using my TiVO (what a wake up that medium is facing soon), update my aviation GPS and plan my flights as a private pilot online, and have an iPod on my wish list for my upcoming birthday.
In short, I love technology, love media, and get totally jazzed in providing quality information, building communities, and connecting buyers and sellers together through online media.
Over time, I moved on to the business side of media, and have had the privilege to interact, do business, and make friends with some of the smartest publishers, marketers, agencies, and media and marketing product/service providers around … many of whom I hope to introduce to you in the course of this blog.
I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts, analysis, predictions, and opinions about online media here with you and invite you to chip in your 2-cents worth as well.
