Article in Min’s B2B

Never thought I’d be the headline story of anything, but my thanks to Jeremy Greenfield for a well-written and classy article on my departure from Penton in today’s Min’s B2B. I think it shows just how critical online media is to publishing today. The real story, though, is not my departure from Penton, but the beginning of two brand new chapters both for Penton and for me. I’m excited to see where Penton will go from here in emedia. The new company has some of the best emedia talent anywhere and I expect to see them continue to innovate and push the boundaries of B2B online media.

As for me, I will be taking eMedia Strategist to the next level. Over the coming weeks you will see several new resources for publishers appearing here. Most of the web resources will be completely free, but I will also publish several “Essential Money Making Guides for Online Publishers” … I’m hoping to have the first one available in April. If you’re interested in getting on the announcement list for the first one, be sure to sign up for the email or RSS feed of my blog on the home page of eMedia Strategist. In addition I will be doing some consulting here and there on select projects and have plans to launch another business later this year, but more on that as it develops.

This will be the last blog entry about my departure from Penton … I want to go back to focusing on critical issues for online publishers and helping all of YOU make the most of emedia as you grow your publications and companies. Cheers!

Thanks, Paul. Very excited to get this rolling. You’ll start to see all the changes hit in early April. And I’m also excited to be working with you on the eMedia vertical search co-op through Google which I will integrate prominently into eMedia Strategist.
